Hi,
I am thinking of ordering SFQ LI. Could you please comment on its practise, ie whether suitable or which forms to concentrate on for the following people:
1. advance stage cancer with lots of pain, where it has metasized into bone, started off as lung cancer.

Regards.

SFQ is a very effective way to treat/cure any kind of illness. I would suggest starting with Level I. Acquaint yourself with the system and theorey. Start at the beginning, both you as healer, if that is the case, and the person who is ill. Look to the information on healing others as you begin doing basic exercises. As time is critical, I would go so far as to suggest looking at level II as soon as it becomes available. I lost a close friend to lung cancer that metasized into bone. I did not know SFQ at the time. I wish I did. I know I could have been more effective. I noticed at the time, that one thing I could do was relax this friend. Pain causes tenseness. Going through relaxing each part of the body helps open them up. I was aware of key energy points, but just moving through general body areas works. This is in SFQ. Have them smile to themselves. This is "very" important. Whenever I finished relaxing this friend, they were relaxed, and, smiling. This basic transformation is very comforting. It is difficult to heal someone in late stages. It is possible though. At minimum, you can make them comfortable. I am going to list some random things to consider. Hopefully, as you get involved with the program, they will be easy for you to utilize.
1) Keep their kidney energy up. Point your sword fingers, both hands, at their kidneys. Picture dark blue/navy light coming out of your sword fingers. Inhale into the middle dan tien (solar plexus/heart area) from the universe, through all parts of your being into this area. This will keep you from depleting your energy. Your breathing can coordinate with this, exhaling the light through your fingers, although it is the mind that moves the energy, and it can be moving through continously. Keeping their kidney energy up will hopefully buy some time.
2) Stay ontop of the smiling idea. If this originally was a lung problem, saddness may well have been involved as a source of negative emotion causing a problem. Just in general, the smiling part is absolutely crucial, through all exercises/meditations.
3)SFQ is signal healing. Your mind can penetrate the cancer cells. Positive affirmations put right "messages" into the body. Channels open, blockages gone, cancers gone, etc.. "go back to the universe, this is not good for the body"
4)Cancer doesn't like oxygen(fresh air/exercise), fresh food (vegetables), "heat"(stare at a fire or flame, transfer the hot part of the flame, using your mind, into the cancer.or, Put the sun into the body.Again, cancer doesn't like happiness (smile).
5)Put message(positive) into any medications being taken. Neutalize the bad part of the medication, again with signal/intentions. Ask (master's energy) to have any negative part pass through the patient.
I hope some of these ideas help you move quickly, and/or buy some time until you are farther along.
I have gone ahead some in the program, but I am concerned about your situation regarding time. Perhaps some of the above info can integrate into your beginning the program. Don't bypass the basics, even if you get SFQ II before you have spent time with SFQ I. The only reason I suggest getting both, is the focus on healing others in SFQ II. It doesn't replace SFQ I, it is just an additional aspect, and developes healing abilities further. One more suggestion: Try and protect this person's personal space. My friend was overwhelmed with people coming in and out, shaking bones, saying prayers, claiming their ability to save him, etc...
Bring them peace and quiet, open them up, relax them, get them to smile, do some real healing. Don't seek acknowledgement for what you are doing. You can do things without them knowing, do it for them, if they are tired, use your creative self to find ways, replenish yourself during the process.

Gallen,
Thanks for a very helpful reply.
Just to carry the discussion a bit further on.
1) I am in two minds whether to do the SFQ LI, or pass the material onto the person concerned (my father in law), or do it with him in conjunction. The reason is because I always thought (note that this belief is from other sources and not from personal experience as my qigong level is miniscule) that you need say typically 3 mths, or 100 days training in the basics, or one could be depleted irreversibly. Is SFQ different in that you could start helping another person pretty straight away.
2) I say this because, at the beginning I taught him some qigong movements, and we did the movements together, I corrected him etc, for a couple of weeks and I found that I was very tired the day after on those nights after we did them.
3) The other reason is personal, as I made an undertaking not to learn another form/system until I have mastered what I am doing at the moment (Tai chi, kung fu), or until I meet another master (Chunyi is in US, I'm in Australia). How is SFQ combined with other systems?
4) By the way, was your friend's cancer small cell type. Thinking back, all the chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments did not have any reducing effect on the cells.

Best Regards.

1)You can start helping right away. There is an aspect of SFQ that is immediate. Calling on the masters energy is important. You don't have to know or feel what you are specifically doing, by doing that, but doing it in a respectful way brings in additional energy, along with universal energy. You can experience this, or explain it as a spiritual aspect of qigong, or simply go through the motions with positive intentions and let it work for whatever reasons it does. Your desire to heal someone and be open to receiving additional energy to do it, makes it happen. I find SFQ unique in how it breathes in energy, in comparison to other qigong systems.
2) I have taught in the past. I had some people who came for my energy, and didn't work on their own self empowerment. They felt motivated, and did their best practicing, when with me. I eventually felt this as a loss of energy. Almost like I was doing the work for them. It is important to have your own time in the exercises, where you are focused on healing and/or energizing yourself. When you work with other people, be aware of your own energy and boundaries. Help someone else help themselves. Be prepared to give when you are with someone, helping them. Teaching/helping can be very similar to healing someone. Be aware of your breathing and your connection to the universe and "master's energy, in the sense of replenishing yourself, help them help themselves, bring in energy as you put out energy.
3)I don't think one ever masters a system in the purest sense. There is always something more to work on and learn. Qigong study compliments martial arts. Tai chi is fine. Master Lin practices Tai chi. You do have to give them their own space and time. You can practice qigong and continue martial arts. I do find that SFQ is very focused on healing work. Occassionally I will practice a martial arts form or exercise. I try to do it purely as a physical exercise, to invigorate that part of myself. Some martial arts practice can be very connected to warrior energy. You may walk around imagining fights, blocking punches , etc. Maybe picturing yourself jumping that terrorist in the airplane! This is not necessarily bad, but there are higher level thoughts to encourage, and hopefully manifest. If a question arises concerning your present situation regarding what you are practicing, it may be for a reason. Be open to change, don't lock yourself into a direction that may not serve your best possible growth. You can try something and not feel like you have abandoned your intentions of mastering something. Starting over in something new can be very self empowering, your experience comes with you, and you gain new insight. Listen to your heart in making decisions.
4) I am not sure what type of cell.He did respond well to chemo and radiation, living a good year past projections. He did have alot of special people giving him energy though. Master Lin said that cancer cells are very thick walled/closed cells that don't communicate with the body. They are addictive to self growth. Medicine doesn't penetrate the cell wall. The mind, can penetrate the cell and put in the right information, (this is not good for the body, go back to the universe). Again, this is signal healing.
