Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ Spring Forest Qigong Where is the 'heart'

SFQ talks about moving energy to the heart in some of the forms, such as 7 steps & small universe. Do we consider the heart to be at the midline of the front of the body (at the midpoint between the breast) or do we focus on the left side of the body where the heart is anatomatically related.
I ask this because I thought it might not be a good idea to focus on the physical heart at the left side of the body.

In the seven steps Master Lin refers to the "heart level". A level at which the energy is brought up to.
In the small universe, the path is midpoint. Some of the language is simplified, in English, as opposed to using Chinese names of specific points. A point can stimulate an organ or area, and vice versa...using the heart as a reference gets the energy where it is supposed to go.
