Hi, I heard Paul on the radio on Saturday talking about the PR course and decided to check out the website. I'm a broke college student but I hope to be able to order the course or attend a seminar soon. Anyway I've become interested in all of these other programs. Do these really work? I'm curious to try them to help me lose weight, de-stress, etc. I have a certain amount of belief in psycho-spiritual matters and would be willing to give it a try. Does anyone have any stories they could share with me? Thanks so much!

Well, If this stuff works why doesn't someone respond to this question? I just find it strange that no one seems to want to say what Spring Forest Qigong has done for them. Not very encouraging.

Alright Claire!
I have been out of town for awhile. That's my excuse.
Fortunately, I have been blessed with good health, but through the years I have had temporary brushes with stress, anxiety, and assorted challenges to well being, weight fluxuation, etc. Qigong works, it helps keep you on the best track you can be on , regarding your health, self healing, feelings, work, etc. It is self empowering. It can create a foundation or ground , from which to move through life, regroup, regenerate, relax.. It is a great means for spiritual transformation. It helps one in their everyday life to find balance. It helps you excell at whatever you do. In meditation you find connections to things, you are never alone, or have to experience loneliness. Increased understanding, elevated awareness.. The list goes on and on. I don't have a great self healing experience to relay regarding something I recovered from, but without qigong my life, experience of life, and how I harmonize with my purpose in being here, would be chugging through fuzz on a much lower level.

Thanks Gallen,
That is exactly what I was looking for as some of us need a little encouragement now and then. Your post has me promising myself that I will be more faithful to my GiGong practice!

Yes, it does. There are lots of psycho-spirtual things out there and Learning Strategies Corp. offers several of them. This form of qigong can help one become a better person, feel more peaceful, more connected to the universe. I like being able to help others with energy blockages. With another qigong form I learned in the past, I wanted a good result too much and in Level 2 SFQ I am learning to trust the universe more rather than my individual abilities. A major benefit I've experienced from SPQ is that a physical problem I've had for years , basicaly stress related, has gone away since I've started this Qigong form. Good luck with whatever you decide to learn.

Also, all of the testimonials on our website are accurate and true.

Here are a few new ones:

“My edema in my ankles began to improve. Now I don’t need my pills any more. My ankles barely swell at all. Just a little every once in a while. I continue to practice as often as I can. I want to learn more.” Lee Meyers, Shreveport, Louisiana

“It is so amazing how this really works. I have cleared up so many pains that I would otherwise have to take pain relievers for. Example: toothache, backache, varicose vein pain, arthritic pains, and anything else that comes my way.” V.L. Shults, Orlando, Florida

“I have enjoyed great health and vitality, and a sense of well-being and happiness. I look forward to sharing my healing with others.” Ron Prevele, Seattle, Washington

“I am having good results with range of motion in arms, knees, hips. I had candida real bad; the toxins got in my joints. I have more energy now. I will write again.” Helen Reeves, Marshall, Arkansas

“I do feel good using it and find that worry, anxiety, and depression are almost eliminated.” Mary Lohr, High Point, North Carolina

“I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. Your program seems to have slowed the process down. I do not use a wheel chair any more or a cane to shop. I still have bad days, but not as severe as they were.” Anonymous, California

“Before I started, I was bothered by colitis. Ironically, I teach stress management techniques. I no longer experience this. I feel a sense of well-being. Please extend my appreciation to Master Chunyi Lin for his gift of Qigong.” Anonymous, West Chester, Pennsylvania

I was extremly fortunate to have purchased level I from a local thrift store for a couple of bucks and have had unmistakable results from the exercises in joint pain reduction, sleeping disorders and mild depression.

My problem came when discovering the real cost of the courses. For a man who's mission of "a healer in every family and a world without pain" the cost is prohibitive to the largest part of the U.S.(let alone the world) population. Is it really "realistic and attainable." as the promo goes?

If LS really "believes in his mission with our whole hearts and souls." Why not make it attainable to the majority.

Sorry to throw negitive vibes into the wheel. I guess I am just disapointed that I cannot financially move to the next level courses because... to go back to the origanl topic... I am sold. It really does work.

Step by step.

One of the challenges marketing something like Qigong is educating the buying public. You just can put out an inexpensive book or tape and expect any results on something people never heard about.

We send out hundreds and hundreds of thousands of free video tapes to small segments of the population we feel would buy the course.

Eventually, the small buying percentage will increase because of word of mouth, radio, and TV advertising, news reports etc, which will make a lower price possible.

Chunyi Lin is also writing a book now for the book stores. This way people who learn about Spring Forest Qigong and cannot afford the courses will be able to receive benefit from the book.

There is a small army working to develop, publish, and market Spring Forest Qigong, which costs money.

As far as moving to the next level, talk to your library. Many purchase the course for their patrons. (Churches have also.)

Other people are buying in small groups and sharing the course and the expensive.

I think Pete gave a great answer, and shows the character of LS, or Pete as a representative of LS.
By the way, it 'is' ok if someone makes a good living(!!!), especially if involved in very positive work. I don't see a conflict in the mission statement and the cost of the courses. It seems we allow countless corporate business's to thrive in this country making incredible amounts of money doing awful things, or nothing at all.
I also view this from a bigger picture perspective. Just as it benefits everyone in the house, energetically (feng shui), to have one person practicing qigong in that house, the same is true on a grand scale involving the earth and all its peoples. Lots of work to do folks!
After you have done level I for a few years, do the math, and see how much it has cost you. The longer you practice, the less expensive it gets! In the clinics run in Minnesota, you can repeat a courses for half the amount, if you need to revisit the material. Compare that to health care costs, and what you get for it. Master Lin is a "professional" healer. He has done, and does do, an amazing amount of work, to be who he is, and maintain that level. (I don't know what sitting in a cave pays these days. I am glad he left that job and came out!)
In a successful partnership, the same holds true for Learning Strategies. I think they are putting very genuine efforts into doing the best they can help accomplish that mission statement and hopefully, they make a good profit so they can continue to grow and improve.

I started doing SFQ in early December 2001 and have practiced it everyday since. I do 35-40 minutes of active exercises in the morning followed by 1/2 meditation, altering between small universe and self-concentration. Yes, it works for me. I have never felt better. When the new year came, I resolved to stop smoking and to cut back on my alcohol intake. I used SFQ as the catalyst for accomplishing this, and so far I have succeeded. I feel amazingly calm and stress free. I no longer feel the need to have that glass of wine or beer after work, and I have not had a cigarette since January 1. I am so much more in tune with my body and feel less and less like abusing it with smoke and alcohol. I recently ordered Level 2 of SFQ and am looking forward to learning all I can about this practice. I am very grateful to Master Chunyi Lin for his willingness to share his knowledge and for Learning Strategies for helping him put his product out there for someone like me to learn and practice
