Because of my schedule, I am going thru this course, Level 1, slowly. I wish I had more time to dive into it, but am satisfied right now with doing as much as I can.

I started doing the active excercises yesterday and today, maybe 15- 20 minutes worth. I was very surprised at my feeling of well being that followed.

Now here is the problem (if there even is one), after feeling good and fresh, I started to have some very ill feelings about individuals that I am close to. Old unresolved things that are very negative to say the least. A lot of anger and resentment. I didn't wish any harm on anyone, but I was sure ready to blame them for all my own negative stuff.

Any suggestions on how to deal with these resentments during these times, other then "just think happy thoughts" would be openmindedly welcome.

Thanks

Forgive me for answering alot of posts...I am not trying to dominate the forum! Where is everybody? I check my computer most days, see posts, and can't help myself! It is an way for me to participate in healing work that fits my situation. Please contribute, I am not , by any means the bottom line.

I think it is great what you are feeling. You obviously are ready to make some real progress healing yourself. As one heals, we run into new things we need to address , to keep healing and transformation moving forward. Those ill feelings are good. You feel good, then become very aware of something that is noT supposed to be there. An awareness of things that should be addressed to get them in the right place. Negative feelings to let go of, relationships to work on, so that energy changes. Perhaps someone else can make suggestions on additional tools or resouces to help you move through the emotional stuff. It is to lenghty to bring our baggage into this forum! You can think about your own feelings as you exercise. In the breathing of the universe, I often address the release of emotions and bad habits, visualizing their release , along with physical stuff. Further reading on the five element theorey would help you become aware of how emotions effect organs. Giving you more understanding of how qigong works.
Dealing with your relationships regarding these people close to you is challenging work, but very doable,,,and , you sound ready to do it. In general , don't make judgements. No blame here. They are dealing the same stuff. We are all in this together. If you do it right, even if you don't get the desired results from one of these individuals, trying to improve or clear the relationship, you can feel ok about yourself. Their work is their work. I have not addressed how you do this. Information, tools, and help will come to you as you proceed with this type of work. I think it's great. Keep practicing your qigong, it only gets better.

Emotional issues can come up when you begin your practice. You can try out some of the Paraliminal Tapes, if you want. Or, you can keep practicing because it can balance heal the body physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

One of the things I've heard many times is how "people around me change the more I practice."

Chunyi says that strengthening your energy can protect you from the influences of others. And, your energy will become a resource for them. All resulting in your world being a better place to be.

I have experienced what Pete mentioned about people around me changing. I just tried something that I hadn't done before, regarding something that has been done at the clinics. Master Lin tells people to invite family members, friends, whoever you want, in to the meditation/healing session. This is a visualization on an individual basis.
My mother has beginning signs of alzheimers. The past 3 months have been very difficult, as she seemingly lost alot of simple mental skills. Although it moves in cycles, it has been steadily downhill. It has made for a very trying relationship with her. Regardless of my qigong work, on myself, her condition has declined, and our relationship has gotten very difficult, involving misconceptions, frustrations, etc. I am ok, I stay aware, am aware, but my relationship with her has been tough, and not improving due to her illness. I brought her into a few of my meditations, visualized her sitting right in front of me, in a full lotus, smiling and filled with light. Whatever I did for myself in those meditations I did for her. I also did a L2 healing on her, in my meditation. The days after this, I talked to her on the phone, and she was completely intact, and better than I have experienced her for some months. She remembered things she had previously forgotten. I previously had gotten her a big desk calendar to write down things. She couldn't figure out that simple task, or read this simple calendar. She put it away , as it frustrated her. On the phone, after these meditations, one of the things she brought into our conversation, along with her sounding very clear, was that she understood the calendar. This was a big deal for her, and for me, a wonderful thing to hear. I have since done this with other people, and noticed changes in the outcomes of "their" issues. Taking an active role in doing healing "for them" has made a key difference that has helped my relationships with them on an emotional level. If I was just doing work for myself, in a more passive role,,,I benefit, my space benefits, and people in my space benefit, but I am finding this active role in purposely doing some work for someone else seems to be an additional step in effecting "that" person's experience, and inturn my relationship with them, and positive emotional results. Their gain is my gain, we share some joy that doesn't have to be acknowledged in terms of its source.
In one meditation I brought in a dozen people and did the small universe meditation with them/for them. The one thing I am working through, though, is I find I need to retreat sometimes and give myself my own space. I haven't found a balance there yet. If I do work like this, involving other people, without spending time by myself, I eventually feel alittle out of whack. It isn't a tired energy level feeling,,,something more emotionally draining. Something about feeling other peoples issues as you bring them in???
I have a hard time staying separate from their difficulties.

Thank you both for the replies.

It seems that after I posted the message, I was a little more at ease with the whole thing. Sometimes I get caught up in things that are of no value, and I think that is just being human. The less I expect, analyze, and judge things, the more I seem to get from them in a positive way.
