I was wondering what is the best way to listen to paraliminal tapes - actively or passively?

In a tape such as NBG or IPM, we are asked to visualize the person we are trying to model. This seems to be an active process, since we have to actually do something, versus just listening to the tapes.

The instructions mention affirming our goals prior to listening to the tapes. After that is there nothing, such as actively visualization, we have to do apart from listening to the tapes?

I would love to get any ideas you have to get the best out of these tapes.

Listen passively. You think of your goal or visualize the person in advance. Just take a moment or two to state your goal then sit back and relax. You can listen to one voice, then the other or listen right down the middle.

The only "active" part is the advance preparation of stating your goal which just takes a minute.

How about switching left and right e.g. every other day?

Sure. Experiment. See what kind of results happen for you. The two voices are designed so that you cannot consciously follow both, and thus the positive messages go to your other-than-conscious mind, where there is greater opportunity for change. In other words, the conscious mind cannot follow, so it cannot interfere with negative or limiting statements.
