You said that you know absolutely NOTHING about "The Work" and you claim that they remind you of the occult?
Did you even READ anything on that website or listen to the audio files? The Work is about meeting your own painful thoughts with some understanding, so that they will let go of their hold on your (or vise versa).
Before you judge, insinuate, infer, or assume... check it out. It might be just what you're looking for.
