Heartbeat,
I will pass that something is happening. I have been remiss (ok lazy) doing any of the sitting meditations, but I have been doing the active exercises from 10-30mins at around midnight every other night before going to sleep. Things that I have observed:
1. Doing the basic level one active excercise, I do feel something "flowing" in my hands.
2. I had recent debilitating back problems, and I can feel the slight pains as it is starting to act up. Doing the SFQ active exercises kept me from being in bed taking pain kills. My wife and friends say this is psycological, I am not so sure, but, hey in either interpretation, it relaxes my back. If you know about back aches, the muscle spasms, the mind remebers it hurts, it spasms more, and the cycle continues. SFQ breaks this death spiral.
3. I am a typical type A personality, but I am finding that the work stress levels are lower despite more workload and pressures.
4. I am not a looker in any way, but the women at work have started telling me they like to approach me with problems, advice, or just to talk and hang out at the water cooler. They know I am married so it is nothing like that...I think. It must be that I am less stressed out compared to the other alpha males ;-)
5. Since I do it around midnight, the wife is asleep, and I plot them energy balls on her to see her reaction. I find it uncanny every time I do it, she switches her sleep position. She laughs about it, but it is uncanny. I will not argue that it is in my mind. I got this idea from anothe post that used the energy balls to revitalize a plant.
6. If you have young kids that watch Yu-Gi-Oh, or Pokemon, or Sumarai Jack cartoons, I find it funny they understand the energy concepts pretty well. They just don't have the attention span to do SFQ.
Granted it could be all in my mind or not, but SFQ level 1 does have some effects on me.
