On the very last page in the Photoreading book (p.164) where it advertises Spring Forest QiGong it says that these two exercises are "particularly useful for PhotoReading and learning in general." I have only done Qigong for a couple of days now, so I haven't had enough experience to get the full benefit yet but even if I did I don't see how these exercises relate to PhotoReading. These exercises have to do with feeling and moving energy, not reading or PhotoReading a book or learning anything (other than moving energy), anyone have any thoughts on this?

Both exercises are about moving energy and also removing blockages, mental and physical. By moving your hands in and out in the Breathing of the Universe, you open up blockages in your entire body. Forming of Yin and Yang opens the energy channels.

Many people experience blocks that can affect their learning and PhotoReading. Negative beliefs about themselves, lack of confidence, stress, or a sense of urgency...all of which Spring Forest Qigong can help to remove.

Wow, I didn't realize QiGong was quite that powerful as far as mentally/emotionally, I figure it was just good for phyical pain and sickness. How long does it take to start noticing the improvement, today will be my 3rd day of QiGong.

Well, I'm not sure if theirs an exact number but in about 2 weeks time my new dog has transformed from a depressed lounger to a playful puppy. And my brother's scar, which he's had for about a year, began to grow new skin. Funny though, that most of the changes I've noticed have happened more to the people around me than to myself exactly. Or maybe I'm just overlooking a few things...

Hope, that helped.

By the way, I also practice with Level 2 SFQ so I'm not sure how that's affected my energy working. Though I'm pretty sure if there's one thing that's helped me out with my practice it's been the Level 2 "Virtual Compass". Perhaps one the mods could post a topic on it since it can prove very important for Level 1 practice.

Thanks for sharing the great story about your puppy!

Bryan, remember, we can't separate the physical from the mental. Experiencing stress is usually the cause of our blockages, eventually turning into illness. Regular practice of Spring Forest Qigong helps to remove the blockages as well as feelings of stress or being overwhelmed.

Luckily, I don't have any sort of chronic pain or disease, but doing Spring Forest Qigong, I noticed feeling much more calm. A hectic day, or crazy traffic, or a person that used to get me stressed out just doesn't affect me anymore.

Practicing Spring Forest Qigong also requires, and therefore improves, your ability to focus, concentrate, and relax, which is ideal for learning. It's all about the connection between our bodies and our minds.

Hey Nacho, sounds to me like you have latent healing abilities that opening your channels through SFQ have released! Congratualations! You should work on developing that healing ability too. I don't just mean the sword fingers thing. I mean you seem to have healing power. Many people have it. Some are better at healing than others! Impressive! Most impressive...but you're not a Jedi yet...

Me too Bryan, though I haven't noticed much improvement in them yet. Maybe in a month or so that'll change. Glad I could help.

Oh, and thanks for the encouraging words Mayflower.
