As I mentioned just now in the "how long does it take" topic that I posted my mom has a chronic pain condition called fibromyalgia syndrome. It makes her hurt from head to toe, it gives her brain fog, sometimes she hurts too bad to get out of bed. She had acupuncture done a few weeks ago but now it has worn off and she can't afford another session because she can't work and her marriage just ended about 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know if Chunyi Lin could do a long distance healing and cure her completely, how much does he cost?

Bryan,
"Practicing" SFQ, on an ongoing basis, would help someone with fibromyalgia. A single session, probably wouldn't "cure" someone. Fibromyalgia is an 'energy blockage'. The blockage was caused by something. Let's call that something the 'source' of the blockage.
Although, in theory, the blockage/source can be cleared in one session, the 'source' of this blockage may still be there, and the blockage may return. One session is unlikely to 'cure' your mother. If your mother was involved in a daily practice of SFQ, she would benefit most, as she could keep the blockage clear for an extended period of time, and progress to the likely release of the blockage's source. Placing all your money on one healing session, hoping for a cure, is not a practical approach. The word "cure" is generally stayed away from. Not that SFQ isn't effective. It has to do with the concept and language more.. Your mother, as with all of us, is not a simple, one dimensional being. There is accumulated life experience, and even past life experience. We have physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects to ourselves. Alot may be in play. Most blockages stem from emotional issues. Clearing the blockage, may not get to the emotional issue involved. Extended practice, can greatly advance a person, working through things. Think of a person like an onion, with several layers. Usually, one works through one layer at a time. You clear something, and something else can come up to work on. By constantly 'doing the work', or making qigong a daily practice, you can self heal, regenerate, and raise your level of consciousness, addressing all aspects of self. Each of us, in regards to 'health', is our 'own' responsibility. It is great to get help, and accumulate tools to help us do this selfwork, but, the ultimate responsibility is our own. Someone else can't wave a magic wand and take over one's own responsibility to accomplishing wholeness, in all aspects of our being. The ideal situation is daily practice, starting with level I. A healing session with Master Lin would definitely help, no question, but one session with hopes of a 'complete' cure??? There would be no point in practicing qigong, if someone else could do everything for us. I am sure you would like to see your mom improve, or get better. Bottom line, this is her choice. A session may or may not help, "completely". It may or may not keep her clear her going forward. "If" she started a daily practice of SFQ. She would improve, step by step. Qigong practice tends to do very well for this type of condition, that the western medical profession doesn't really address, other than giving it a name.
"Cure her completely" is a tall order.. One session? probably not... Over time, with daily SFQ practice, session or not, I would say yes.
love,
gallen

I appreciated this information too! My mother also has Fibromyalgia and my father has serious hip and shoulder pain. I would love to see them practice Qigong daily, and my parents are both very open to this sort of thing, but it's almost impossible to get them to even do a situp, much less do any kind of routine like this for longer than say a minute (even if I tell them till I'm blue in the face that it could give them the cure they are desperately looking for). Has anyone had any luck getting through this kind of resistance? Is there a super easy "no excuses" one step Qigong exercise that they could start with to get used to it that would help their energy a little? Then maybe later on they could add another...
Thanks and Love, Valentine
