I thought I would share my experiences with the advice given to me by Shawn and Gallen in my "helping with asthma" topic a while ago. To take these ideas away and work with them has been a real learning experience.

I followed Gallen and Shawn's instructions (see ‘helping with asthma’ thread) and have managed to help my kids significantly. A few days ago I was able to help a friend's son with the same kind of breathing problem. My friend is very energy sensitive and was aware of a great deal of energy around her son as I worked on him. So thank you Master Lin since I called on your energy!!

Some things strike about my learning during the past few weeks. One is that breathing into my heart has the effect of making me more loving and in fact at times I break into a broad grin or little laugh. On occasions I look at the face of whoever I'm working on and as the energy work 'kicks in' for them there is a look of peace and happiness which begins to appear on their face quite often and this also increases the internal (and external) smile I feel.

Gallen's advice to have very 'soft' hands, for the drawing out of energy and for putting it in, enabled me to really pay attention to how I was experiencing the energy in both of these movements and to begin to recognise sensations from one session to another. As I draw out excess energy now I have a real sense of what is meant by the energy you draw out being 'heavy and sticky' to start with while gradually becoming much lighter s you progress. Sometimes when I doubt that the sensation is 'light' enough I switch hands in order to have a second 'feel' of the situation. Increasingly I have the sensation of the excess energy sort of 'jumping' or 'rising' into my hands. Also for sweeping down the spine to remove excess energy I notice some tinglings in my fingers which gradually subside as the xs energy disappears. Along with this the advice about keeping visualising was good. As I worked on the windows to the lungs I could ‘see’ that 'something' in there was becoming pinker and less clogged up with unhelpful 'junk'. Similarly the lungs became pinker and pinker as I continued to work at clearing out xs energy. I increasingly have a sense of how to visualise the energy going into various places. It’s worth saying here that I couldn’t see or feel anything when I started out trying to help people. Gallen's comments about the nature of the different types of energy in the sword fingers, cloud hands and ‘putting in of energy’ phases was also very useful to develop a particular mind set appropriate to that phase. Of course my confidence in my efforts has increased many fold as well.

I am particularly grateful to Shawn and Gallen because I have been able to make a significant difference to three people now. It certainly makes the 'world without pain and a healer in every family' more real as you can imagine. But there is another lesson for me too - you have to get the best advice you can if it’s available, but then you have to go and do something with it, while keeping your attention on the process in a relaxed way so that you notice what you are learning.

So thank you folks for helping with this healing opportunity that presented itself to me, and from which I have learned a great deal. I do feel that this forum has some exceptional and very loving aspects to it!!

Much Love

Kev

Thank you for coming back and sharing Kev5. I remember the earlier thread. I hadn't picked up on the soft hands comment.

I appreciate the comment that much of the experience was new, and that the healings are a learning process for you.

Love your comments about breathing into the heart. Someday I'll post some thoughts / questions on heart and energy. It is possibly the most sensitive area for me, who is just a beginner. It's also were I visualize my connection to my inner-self / universe from work at the retreat.

Anyways I'm rambling when I'm not ready. Thanks again for sharing, and illuminating some of the path ahead.

Sending love,
Iam2

Kev,
Thanks for sharing that...
Remember that the information shared, 'mostly' comes from level II, etc. If you want to grow with this, at some point, get the next level course. It probably has the most 'literal' data to assimulate, over other levels of SFQ. All of this data pretains to healing others, and one's own selfwork in conjunction with this information on healing others. There are exercises in level II that help empower your healing techniques, as applied to others.
Also, it is important to have perspective on energy 'centers' you are using. It is important to develop your lower centers, regarding lower dan tien, or chakras. This importance continues through advanced levels. Shifting to using the heart center is significant, and continued practice and understanding will help develop a greater awareness of these energy centers. My experience has been that you don't discard any as you spend time specifically in one or the other. It is very important to spend time developing the lower dan tien and/or root chakras. My experience or understanding has been, that the more these are developed, the greater the experience possible in the middle and upper centers/dan tiens,etc... Higher levels of SFQ practice, still bring one back to working with the lower centers, with greater understanding. Don't get lost in the heart center, although, what better place to live in... You have three dan tiens, not to mention the aspects of chakras. The heart, even from a five element perspective, which is very much involved in SFQ, can positively effect your whole system. It is the king, or queen of the five organs. This is why happiness and love are so powerful a state, to induce healing in self and others. There is a wonderful rhymne and reason to all the centers though, and one should experience an understanding and measured growth and practice involving all of them. The suggestion to breath into the heart center, comes from level II, not me, and at some point, as I said, and Shawn, you should get level II. It will place all this in better context. I am not trying to pressure you here!!! There is plenty of time, no hurry...You are doing good work, it would greatly feed this direction.
love,
gallen

Thanks Gallen for your, as ever, thoughtful comments. It's intersting how some of these comments about awareness and integration of different energy centres resonates with things that a healer I have worked with for many years has said to me. Your message about getting Level 2 materials has been received loud and clear!

Love

Kev
