Split it up into mulitple sessions. Take it one step at a time. Perhaps the first belief might be to be a proficient photoreader. Since Photoreading is useful in many areas of your life it a good goal on its own.
Leave it for a couple of days and then use the tape again for becoming an expert in your field. Since photoreading alone cannot make you the expert I see this as 2 distinct goals.
When you notice such confusion you probably have multiple goals in which case it wiser to work on them seperately.
