I have had trouble sleeping all of my life and have begun to Qigong as a solution to this troublesome disorder. I have always been a poor sleeper but I have noticed a change in my sleep pattern and was curious if anyone else had a similar experience. I will wake up multiple times in the night 5+, and have many very active dreams, and also have the need to go to the bathroom several times.

I was also curious to know if insomnia is associate with energy blockages in certain regions or if there are any areas to focus on when practicing Qigong.

Many thanks!

Aloha gyurko,

Thank you for your post. There are many I know who have had their sleeping patterns stabilize and become more efficient just from doing the exercises in the level 1 course.

These exercises/meditations can help with the blockages along with the other pieces at work that are contributing to your restless sleeping.

As I mentioned in a previous post, see how doing one of the sitting meditations(as Opposed to the active exercises) before you go to bed impacts on you experience over the next two weeks.

Much Love, Shawn
