Hi everyone:

Since I just began SFQ last week, I am wondering if I should spend more time building up the chi and then try sword fingers. I have a little dog that is not well and I want to try and help him.

Today, when I did the active exercises I could feel a breeze. Nice, especially when I didn't think anything physically would manifest for me. I just didn't believe it could happen.

Heartbeat, the advice I've heard is do it. The more you give the more you will recieve. Maybe you will be able to do a better job in a year. However, what you can do now may be enough, even if you don't feel it.

I would recommend reviewing the six keys of success. However, since you've expressed some doubt, which I'm sure almost everyone who hasn't performed several healing has some, I feel the important thing would be comming from a place of strong love and caring and to send messages of health.

I'm also think of the water experiments. Where people without chi training bless and cursed differnt bottles of water. The crystals forming in the blessed water where beautiful, and the cursed water crystal lacked the beauty of symmetry. Namely the effect is real regardless of the skill. It's the intent that is important.

Success in your caring, and you are perfection.

Nicely put Iam2. I agree it is always better to try and do than not to. The foundation you build through consistent practice will continue to build your foundation and sensitivity. There is a lot to be learned from trying and doing especially when it is with some one close to you be it human or pet. Tap into that your compassion and love, that is the space to be and all will evolve on its own.

Iam2 I have also added a link that relates to your comments on the water someone else had posted it and I had to save it.

Hello:

I have read about the water experiments. Fascinating.
Everything is happening so fast with this Qigong and I didn't expect that. In the beginning when I was only reading the materials and listening to the audios, I saw the list of reactions that could possibly occur and I thought, "that won't happen to me." Well, I was wrong. The first reaction was itching then feelings of strength then breezes around my body and flashes of light.

I really want to learn to use the chi energy to heal. To me this is the most honorable endeavor I could pursue so it is very important to me.

Your guidance is important to me on this forum. Thank you.

Yes - just do it. Confidence builds as you use the skill. I first tried it almost as a 'throwaway' with my wife's sore throat. A few seconds into it she said 'Wow that feels really different'. Last night my 14 year old son said 'You know that qigong really works dad' after I had done some work on him for his cold and tight chest. The unsolicited comments are the best, of course, but with your dog, who I assume doesn't talk, there will be signs of improvement that you will notice, being attuned to that kind of thing.

With regard to whether you have enough chi yet to 'do the business' it's worth remembering that the chi comes from the universe and not from your more meagre supply and it is activated by your love kindness and forgiveness. When about a year ago I asked for advice in much the same way that you are asking, Gallen said this to me and it was excellent advice. If you want to help your pet that love will activate the healing. Call on your Master's energy, keep a smile on your face and on the inside, let that love flow and see how your confidence builds. You love your dog and that love will manifest. Sometimes it takes a while for the chi to take effect - I notice this especially with my daughter - so don't be too quick to judge your 'success'.

And let us know how you get on too, if that feels appropriate.

Love

Kev

Kev5 did you do the full level II healing stuff with the family or just the sword fingers?

P.S. Can I sneak into the kids rooms when they are asleep and do it?

Do you recall the two 'help with healing asthma' posts that I started? I asked for help and Gallen and Shawn came to the rescue so I ended up doing level 2 type stuff from their advice although I don't yet have the materials. I'm looking forward to working with those eventually because I can see the power from what I've done.

I'm sure you could sneak in and do it and in fact I did do this with each of my children on a couple of occasions when they were asleep and their breathing was laboured. But generally I just respond to the kids having some problem and I do sword fingers and the pulling out of energy followed by putting new energy in as laid out in level 1 materials. (Except for the particulat lung protocol that was relayed to me on this forum I don't know anything past level 1 for the moment.) The only additional thing i use is breathing into my heart as Gallen suggested and this has the advantage of increasing the loving dimension of what I do.

My daughter gets tummy aches from time to time and my comment about the delay in chi reaching the parts that need reaching is based on her sometimes adamant view that nothing is any better at all. I used to take this as a sing that I had been unsuccessful but now I view it as another example of her polarity response to many things and I just shrug and say 'just put it out of your mind and it will probably be better in a few minutes'. Usually she will not acknowledge that the ache has disappeared but she will get up and go about her business withour discomfort. I don't mention it either in case she decides that it has returned. The psychology of it! - who'd be a dad?

I digess but I think I answered your question.

Thanks kev5. I must be a bit dizzy, for not having seen this earlier. I have the fortune of actually having the level two material. I've listened to the audio, but haven't completed the manual or video (the was a format problem and LSC had to sent the videos again).

No one in my family has any serious ailments (Thank you), with the exception of the grand parent generation and most are quite distance. Distance healing is a in Master Lin's presence learning thing.

Kev5, you've encouraged me to work on some fo the families too regular minor illnesses. Also to get back to my course material.

So many books, courses (I've ordered more materials), more exercises, and all the real world stuff too. Good think I don't waste time sleeping anymore (joke... except I am running on at least an hour least that before).

Thanks again. You are perfection,
Iam2
