Nooo the validity is not increased by my understanding. It exist regardless of my mental state... or does it?
It may be that it's not a chemical. Or that it's not chemically known. It may just be knowledge that those with true third eye ability have observed.
I had tied flax seed into my question. This may or may not be a seed known in asian. I may have just intuitively picked up on similar energies... then again I just may be hunting. 
I'll still ask questions and seek knowledge... it what I like to do.
