Hi Yosef:
I used Holosync tapes for 2 years and they were very helpful to me as a new meditator. Then I took up SFQ and have done it for about 2 years. I do think the Holosync helped train me to get rid of a lot of very deep emotional baggage and to also understand deep meditative states. I stopped using Holosync because I felt tired all the time after listening to the tapes and just sitting there does not train you to discipline your mind and makes for sloppy meditating. With SFQ I never experience this tiredness and my mental control is much stronger now. About a month ago, I purchased an "Insight" tape and have been trying it in the morning while doing SFQ several hours later from 11am to 1pm. Insight is similar to Holosync but using many frequencies rather than just one. It is also much cheaper and so far I am not feeling tired. I think you can combine the high tech with the traditional SFQ but just leave at least 30 minutes to an hour or more between the two very different practices. Try different things (but not too many and not too fast), and always listen to your body as it is incredibly smart as to what is right for you. In the end sometimes I think everything we need is in the Level I course of SFQ and also taking walks or hikes and just helping others... the rest is just confusing details!
Keep going and never give up!
