Your goal can be specific, but the ways to achieve the goal should not be limited. For instance, do not state a specific amount of money or number of clients you want to bring in each day. Why set a limit?
Focus intead on what a prosperous home business can bring to you, rather than the money or the sales. Money is just one possible means to an end. Think about what higher sales can bring to your life and Incorporate this into your goal. Who is to say HOW your ideal end result should work out?
Also, make sure that your goals are:
1) Realistic and within your control
2) Measureable and testable
3) Stated in positive terms
A goal such as,"I want everyone to like me," for instance is something that is not within your control. To strive for better, more meaningful, and prosperous relationships in your personal life or work, on the other hand, is a much more realistic goal. Do you see the difference? Do not limit yourself with your goal statement.
Good luck!
