Has anybody had any experience using Qigong to deal with glaucoma? In addition to my heart issues (mitral valve prolapse, swelling of the heart), I received a phone call last week from my optometrist, who based on an exam I had last August, made an appointment for me at Mass Eye and Ear. The appointment is in July, so I have plenty of time to work on the issue. I have just returned from the Level II seminar, so I have an idea on how to work on eye problems, but if somebody knows a technique that is specific to glaucoma, I would appreciate hearing about it.

Thank you.

Claudia, I noticed you didn't get any responses so I'll offer suggestions. You've been practicing SFQ for nearly five years now for at least an hour or more every day. Has that helped this condition at all even a little bit? Pardon me, but I took the liberty of scanning your heart chakra remotely and it came up short. You must have suffered some type of trauma in the past that shut down your middle dantien.

Many traumas, stresses and emotions get stored in the heart. I would recommend Radiant Heart Therapy by Sharon J. Wendt or a variant called Emotional Release Technique developed by Walter L. Weston to heal your heart problems. These techniques have also cured mitral valve prolapse. These techniques are very simple to use and have a number of advantages over the sedona method or derivatives of thought field therapy from energy psychology. These methods are very effective in getting the negative emotions out of your energy field and clears your heart chakra and is a preliminary step to healing at the physical level. Once you have cleared and re-energized your aura and chakras, you will find qigong such as SFQ to be far more effective in your self-healing.

Many healers do not go beyond the physical or meridian levels but there are layers that go to more subtle layers all the way to the soul level in finding the real root cause of challenges in the current lifetime.

Thank you, shr33m for your response. I have been working with a program called HeartMath, which has been featured on PBS, the Wall Street Journal, etc. Their premise is that the heart is actually a center for feelings and emotions, much the way it was thought to be in earlier times. They have a technique which sounds similar to the Emotional Release Technique you mentioned. What you found when you scanned my heart chakra makes perfect sense to me. I do not express myself very well, so I need to clarify what I said about my practice of Qigong. Although I have been doing it since 2000, I was only able to do it an hour a day until 2002, and I was doing fine with my valve situation. I was practically the poster girl of my cardiologist's practice because I was doing so well. Then, my husband lost his job, we moved in with his parents, and my long commute to work took away my Qigong time. In addition to that, my father-in-law died, and we ended up as full time caregivers for a a person with Alzheimer's, which duties I assumed on arriving home from work every night. When I was told that my ejection fraction had gone down to 30%, I started squeezing in more time for Qigong, but it hasn't been until the beginning of March, when we moved into our own place, that I was able to start increasing my time gradually until I was back to an hour a day.

I am not sure if this eye problem is connected to my heart problem, or my medication, or if it is a separate issue, but I am going to work on it both by myself and with some phone sessions with Master Lin. When I was told about the depressed ejection fraction, in addition to increasing my Qigong time, I called Master Lin and had a phone session. I had an MRI which showed that my ejection fraction had increased to 40%. I was scheduled for a stress test in May, and I had another session with Master Lin before that, and the ejection fraction went up to 54% percent (50-55 is normal according to my cardiologist), so there has been some improvement to my condition with the help of Master Lin.

Due to various incidents in my life, although I am friendly, I have been a closed off person for much of my life. That seemed to change when I attended the Level 2 retreat a few weeks ago, and I am feeling continued improvement in that area.

I thank you for your suggestion, and as soon as I finish this posting, I am going to look for those two books.

Claudia

I've used Doc Childre's HeartMath techniques and they have an advantage over the Sedona Method in being heart-centered. Get the book Healing Yourself by Weston as it is more widely available and is somewhat easier to do than Wendt's RHT.

Hi Claudia
The reason I started SFQ was to try and help my wife, Heather, who suffers from Sarcoidosis. This started 27 years ago and affects her eyes and lungs. The eye problem was the first sign of the condition and over the years her sight has varied from near total blindness to almost normal, depending on the treatment available at any given time. New techniques are being developed all the time so have confidence in your Eye Specialist. My wife’s Specialist went from the UK to America to learn a new method of treatment, which he then used on my wife with great results. Unfortunately the quality of sight is expected to deteriorate after each treatment and there is a very limited number of times it can be repeated.
The good news is that the last time Heather saw her specialist there had been no deterioration in her eyesight. Now, Mr.Ng, her specialist, is Chinese, so she told him that I had been treating her with SFQ. He said, “Oh, I’ve heard of that” and laughed. I could hear the laughter in the waiting room. He has obviously not heard of Master Lin!
After 27 years of difficulties it would be reasonable to consider a stabilisation of the problem a good result. Something to build on and with patience we expect a gradual improvement.
We are spiritual beings living in a material world, so we need spiritual as well as material solutions.
Practise SFQ, listen to your doctors, don’t forget good nutrition/supplements and stay positive.
I trust this story will give you hope.
Much Love,
Walter
