Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some things just take too much time and energy to change even with cosmetic surgery. When you do qigong you realise that the self is a bit like a rose bush, Cosmetic changes are like focusing one one badly formed bloom and trying to make it right but this is time consuming and at the expense of the care of the plant as a whole. Failing to notice that leave are discolouring and as a whole is starving for sunlight while you're trying to protect that bloom from excessive sunlight.

When you tend to the whole plant the vibrancy of every part and every leave and every other bloom makes that unusually small lop sided bloom okay as it is.

When you do qigong you're taking care of your whole body and mind.
