Hi there.
Water retention. It's with me since World War 2. I'm doing Tao internal exercises for many years every day to keep the water in the legs down. I mean massaging the legs. And sleeping with my legs higher than the head. I felt I can live with that.

Now I do Cigong exercises in standing position 2 to 3 hours a day, or meditations sitting down with the feet flat on the floor. I've noticed more water builds up.

progressing and strongly believe on SFC. Master Chunyi Lin came from heaven.

Can anyone help me with this? (I think I know the answer) But any suggestion or research
will be very much appreciated. If needed I could explain more about my situation.

Love, John

Hi John82.

I'm not the expert, but the thing that comes to my mind is the seven steps from the active exercise. I love the feeling of moving the energy into my legs with each step. I imagine the energy ball washing (blowing) away any blockages and restoring full and balanced flow.

thinking longer I start adding everything else for you. In order for me was small universe, then self-concentration with visualization of yourself freed of this ailment. Finally, working our yourself with sword fingers.

Good luck.

You are perfection.

Sorry, for the slow reply but I've been away.

Hi Im2.
Thank you very much. I’m not an expert either.
I’m doing all the exercises in level 1, and some from
Level 2 to help me on visualization.
I love doing the 7 steps. Not much feeling of
energy moving right now, but I will get it sooner or later.
I’ve read all the posts in the SfC forum the second time around
to find some answers between the lines.
Since I was 16 I live with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I can’t straighten my fingers and elbows to do the
Level 2 exercises, especially the ‘sword fingers’.
So I will have to wait to build my imagination and visualization up.
Up to then I will keep doing my regular exercises every morning.

Love, John

Welcome back, I like your posts. Next time more.

Hi John 82:

Since elevating your feet when you sleep seems to help you might also try the yoga position (feet and legs up, form a tripod with your upper back/the back of your head and arms while holding your lower back) or one of those invert devises which hold you upside down.

I assume you aren't getting too much salt in your diet as salt can retain water.

A sauna can bring out a lot of toxins along with the water.

When you do the sitting meditations sit with crossed legs. This prevents the chi from going down into your legs and build the energy faster where you need it.

Walking and hiking is an excellent balancer. You can do the 7 steps or small universe while you are walking as well.

Just some ideas.
