What is far more important is to observe and follow the 6 key elements that are identified in the course. The course is some education and the meditations are technique. Master Lin says that technique is not the most important.
Ooops, getting back to your concerns. It is far more important that you consistantly and regularly practice SFQ, than how you learn SFQ.
I've learned from the home study course I and II. I've also been lead in meditations by Shawn, Jim and Master Lin. These help to educate me, but it's my practice that develops me.
