Hi,
Couple of things come to mind.
-One, perhaps less likely, is to be sure when you grab out energy, to throw it into the ground, clearing yourself of that energy.
-I tend to think more towards grounding, whether that is applied to clearing yourself afterwards, or your foundation in general, in regards to active exercise. I feel this is most likely.
Clearing: You can stand in the basic standing posture, shifting your focus to your lower dan tien, and see all this charged energy / electricity, running into the ground, out the bottoms of your feet. It might help to relax each section of your body, starting at the top, and move in sections, down to the bottoms of your feet, seeing this energy move down as you relax downwards. Breath into your lower dan tien, and relax with the exhales. Or, just sit on the ground/earth and see this energy running out you into the ground, hands on the ground too.
-Regarding your active exercise. Your container/body, might need some foundation work. Be sure to practice your active exercises, to build your structure that you channel energy through. A half hour is good, an hour better. If you are doing level II active, you 'might' want to try the lower dan tien breathing versus the middle. Harvesting qi may be very important for you..
So, making sure to throw away energy you take out, grounding and/or clearing yourself afterwards(your active exercises , like the balancing of yin and yang can help, or others, harvesting qi,,,along with a sense of grounding and clearing/releasing), and also, your practice of active exercises in general.
This is not a permanent thing. You can work through this to a more balanced practice.

gallen
