Thank you both for your responses. I kept thinking kidneys, too, as a physical place to focus though it feels like it's mostly a soul/spirit dis-ease or disengagement. I do know Level II but am only beginning, have read the manual, listened to the CDs, watched the DVD, practiced the active exercises some and have been strongly visualizing going through the process during meditations (my father is also ill, so have been focusing on him), including detecting blockages. so it's all good. My sister feels my niece would be open to this so even though I suppose it's not 'necessary' for healing, I will contact her and set up a time where she can sit quietly early in the a.m. and breath in and out, etc., at the same time I am sending. Mostly I want to enlist her participating as a way of introducing her to quieting and meditating, since she is a high achieving, driven, perfectionist young girl (as many people with anorexia or other eating disorders are) as well as introducing her to Qigong of course.
Gratefully,
Stephanie
