Very well said, Iam2. I could say the same with the exception that for me the combination of SFQ and NLP is the ideal. Both of them provide essential ideas to me.

I don't know what your smoke experience is like. At times I will have a significant experience of smoke. It is not related to my own SFQ practice. It is definitely not any real source of smoke. However, it is always late in the night, when I've stayed up longer than I would normally.

I do not know what it is. It is very strong and lasts a few minutes. Others do not note the smell, even if I ask them.

At times I use inscents with some meditations. My smoke experiences are somewhat like this and a bit like cigarette smoke. It's not as parfumed as inscents sometimes are. It's not as acrid as cigarette smoke is.

Just sharing something that may be similar.

You are perfection.

Yes, our experiences sound similar enough. Half a year ago I smelled something reminding of cigarette smoke. Then it changed to plain wood smoke. Sometimes it was so strong that I felt my nose irritated. It was quite intense, it could last minutes, hours, days...

Some occasions I was in a room with a fireplace and smelled the smoke. I had to ask others if they felt the smoke. Well, they did not. It was my own internal experience.

I have learned to accept it as it comes. Actually I welcome it, because it is to me a sign that I'm making progress. The kind of progress that my other-than-conscious mind prefers not to tell my conscious mind.
