RoSpinner, thanks for the insight into Dyer's use of the word intention. I've seen him on PBS and was well impressed with him. I felt the sincerity of his message and found nothing in contradiction from what I've taking to be true from SFQ. Which is saying something, since I tend to find things I disagree with in the teaching of most others, including of qigong systems I've learned a little about.
More personal information, the content of SFQ is the one thing I've found the greatest harmony with my own beliefs, and the most complete from my perspective. That is to say, it ring true for both side of myself.
As for intention being "a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place", I think of Master Lin's words that relate so many thinks to a form of energy / qi. So it's easy for me to take my understanding of the word intention, a thought with purpose, and equate that with qi. To me it is easy to say they are two poems about the same rose, both accurate but different.
