Hello

You are not suppose to mix Qi-gong with anything. If you have not had the time or missed it; The Master Coach does make a point to say not to mix Qi-gong with any other exercises or energy source because it will diminish the Qi! and remember not to eat or drink anything 30 minutes before or after doing Qi-gong.
You should not use the bathroom either.
It depletes the QI energy. I think a great film that helps make Qi-gong much more clear is "What the bleep do we know." Great film!

Questions
(Holosync and Qi-gong)
I have a question maybe someone can help me with. holosync. I have been doing it since 1994, I am 27 now. I used the first CD "the end" for about 3 years then used it on and off. It does not seem to do anything to me anymore. I tried again in 2000 and listened to it for 6 months but I wasn't going any deeper. Has anyone here gone past the first level because there is like 20 something levels. Second why should I keep listening to the end? Did anyone get the two other CD withg the End program? one is for learning and the other for creativity. My question is about the creativity CD. Does it really work? I create music and if I listened to it would it help me be more creative after the fact? and has anyone done any creative writing use it?

Question #2
(Qi-Gong)
I am in a band and when I perform I have to use lots of energy and it is very exciting.
How can I keep my balance like Qi-gong speaks about?

Aloha Jimmy P,

You will want to take your Holosync question to a Forum set up for that product. I believe there is a participants section on their site. (www.centerpointe.com)

Your active exercise practice will help your balancing before, during and after your concerts. There are a lot of dynamics involved in performing and depending on your intent, your energy is focused in different areas.

You can always adapt Master Lin's suggestion for walking qigong to your performance. Notice what doing that in between songs and sets make for you during and after the performance.

Much Love, Shawn

I don't believe that there is a discussion forum available on the Centerpointe site any longer. Jimmy P. can send an email to support@centerpointe.com and should get a prompt response to his question. Everyone I have dealt with there has been extremely helpful.

Aloha Claire,

I'm sorry you’re feeling disappointed.

This Forum is set up as a place that those studying SFQ can come to hear and share questions, stories, and experiences with SFQ. There are millions of different ways to help people heal available in the world. There is also a tendency in all of us to suggest any method we are familiar with to help a person’s specific situation. This is a wonderful act of kindness, and at the same time may not deepen the Forum members’ knowledge or experience with SFQ. In those cases our members do a good job sending a side-email suggestion or posting a URL out of respect for other members of the Forum. This has nothing to do with honesty or openness, but rather of focus.

I remove about 2 or 3 posts a year. Not a whole lot. Most are people trying to sell a chi machine on eBay, going off-subject into other modalities, artifacts, or promoting a new diet.

I don't remember the post you are referring to. I'll generally email the poster and suggest they email alternative suggestions to the person off-forum, or inform them the post was not appropriate. I apologize if I did not do it in this case.

Your posts all the way back to 2001 have asked good questions and generously shared your experiences with integrating SFQ into your busy life. I’m sure the one of which you speak was put out there with good intentions also. Thank you.

Much Love, Shawn

Walking Qi-Gong? what is that? I haven't got to that yet. Is that in level one or level 2?

Hi Shawn
Well, I guess I have egg on my face. My post is still here but in a different string.
Sorry about my over reaction--guess I had anger issues to deal with that day. Your reply was lovely-- Again, I offer my sincere apologies.

Hi Barb,

Your schedule sounds very much like mine!

Actually, I do use holosync at bedtime, and once you get used to sleeping with headphones, I find it helps me sleep like a log. You might try using floating, but I find Dive/Immersion to work better for me. But - of course people are different and everyone reacts differently. I also get up at 4 am and either do holosync, paraliminals or QiGong, depending on how I feel that day. I've been using the SFQ as a great warm up before teaching my dance classes, too.

It's interesting how things will clear out of your schedule to make the time, once you decide it's important to you. You might try using the SFQ breathing technique when you're doing your holosync - although it's been mentioned you should never do SFQ while doing other things, I believe adding the breathing to other meditation styles can be beneficial.

I do think doing the SFQ at bedtime is probably great and would leave you relaxed and open - my animals always need my attention then so I haven't been able to try. For me, midafternoon before class works great, and I already sleep well.

Best of luck!
Jana

Claire,

It takes a good person to admit when you make a mistake. I've sure made plenty. I sometimes have a big mouth, and have to apologize for something I said.

We've got a good group of people here, where we share our experiences, and when there are some differences of opinion, we can talk things out, at least in a small way. Shawn is a wonderful moderator.

Three cheers to everyone on this forum!
