Perhaps you shouldn't ask to be turned, just ask which direction is the correct direction to face. Then you must learn to interpret the message you get.
I'll resist suggesting how the information may come to you, but listening to Master Lin and you hear his stories of the different ways in which you may recieve guidance. As well as times when it wasn't immediately obvious what the message was, or that it was a message.
Stay with the core of the SFQ, keep it simple, and review the keys to success.
