Hi again,
I should clarify a couple points in my question -
I am extremely active - I'm a Middle Eastern dancer & instructor, and I teach at a professional plus level, eight classes a week plus rehearsals and performances, so I am not a couch potato, and am also an avid meditator, do yoga and Tai Chi as well as other martial arts.
As a teen, an illness rocketed me up to 240 pounds, and at that time I found Middle Eastern dance, and over some time, lost 100 pounds. Recently hormornes have pushed me up again - I was 170, and lost 50, but gained some back. I am 5'2 and small boned, and would really like to attain my optimum health. I feel that in order to do that I need to keep as much weight off as I can, I'm not eating very healthy - very low cal, low carb, and would like to be able to eat healthy whole grains, etc. without gaining weight.
I do believe that bringing the body back into balance should also balance weight, but it's not been my experience in life - I also know that just because that's not been the way things have been does not mean they can't be. For the first time in many years I am once again pursuing my passion for dance as my livlihood, and need to lose weight for filming instructional videos, so I am very motivated - I am 46, still dancing, teaching and performing, and want to be able to let go of my day job soon.

I am just starting down the SFQ path, and am so happy to have found it. I also hope to make some new friends through the forum.
Thank you Jetay and Iam2 (love that!) for your helpfulness. I know I am not the only one battling with this side of life and hopefully others will benefit from this thread as well. I'll go check out those sites, and thanks very much for finding those for me!!
Love and Light,
Jana
