I would say yes because I have had a problem with my left thumb (trigger finger) for more than a year. The Doctor gave me two steroid injections that did nothing for it. I decided to try the sord finger technique and it is just about gone. I am totally amazed. I don't have level 2--

Eagle1, yes you can detect blockages on yourself. In fact when you start doing the level III material it is suggested you do it everyday after your morning meditation. If you like you can use the level II techniques on your image in the mirror.

As for the virtual compass, consider how you ask for guidance. There are a few threads on this topic and it might be good to find them and see if anything helps you.

If your are looking for the best direction, as opposed to the best place, you could just ask "What is the best direction for me to be facing while doing my meditations?". I like to add a desired outcome for my meditations, like "What is the best direction for me to be facing while doing my meditations to... heal my hip, or improve my eyesight, or help my family, or... "

Once you make the request, don't go looking for the guidance, don't anticipate how you will receive it. Just join with the universe (go into the emptiness) and you will receive your guidance. Take it accept it, don't analyze it, don't question it, and be grateful.

You are prefection.

Hi Claire and Iam2, Thanks for you prompt response and insight. I really appreciate it.
I am going to try hard to get the Level III part. I believe I will have to go to Minnesota to receive this training, am I right in this? Meanwhile I will use the Level II and using mirrors to help me, as you suggest,Iam2.
Claire, that is amazing to me the results you got with your thumb. I also have similar problems, I plan to work on them with my sword fingers.

Aloha Eagle1,

My family just got back from the Level III retreat held at the Arrowwood Resort outside of Alexandria, MN this weekend.

While Darcie and the retreat participants "OHMed" with Chunyi, Isaiah and I enjoyed the wonderful indoor water park. I don't know who had the better weekend, although Darcie smelled like lotus flowers and we smelled like chlorine.

You can check his class schedule on the Normandale Community College web site under Continuing Education. A weekend retreat is a great way for non-Minneapolis students to drive/fly in and participate in his advanced work.

Of course one can't beat the 6-Day retreat we put on with him in October. He'll review and update the level I and II work, then move into level III and IV. The more important reason to be there though, are the 6 days of mediation time you get with him. You just don't get that type of immersion anywhere else.

You can check it out Pete Bissonette's post regarding his phone presentation on SFQ and the retreat elsewhere on the forum.

Much Love, Shawn

Hello Shawn, Thanks so much for your post. I intend to take the October six day retreat barring any emergencies here in Orlando, Fl. Hope to see you there. Sounds like you had a great time at the Level III retreat. I have been to other "Camps" for a few days and there was nothing like it. It is so much better to get training from the Master himself. Much Love, James (EAGLE1)

I have never heard of it being offered anywhere else.

You are perfection.

Aloha Boots/EAGLE1,

The link to his scheduled classes is it. If it's not there, then its either a private class (as he did for Mayo Clinic), or our 6-day retreat.

He doesn't do a lot of teaching abroad at this time.

Much Love, Shawn

Dear Iam2: Regarding your post replying to detecting blockages on oneself, I don't understand how one can do Level II techniques in front of a mirror, e.g. scanning the body front and back? Please explain what you meant. Thank you. RoSpinner
