The water from the hot water tap and the cold water tap comes into the house by the same pipe from the city (or your well). It is not distilled water. There is material that is not necessarily good for you, BUT it is small quantities and you body can handle it very easily. If you allow it to sit around at a warm temperature (not a hot temperature eg. boiling) then some of the things in the water MAY grow and multiply to the state that there is too much bad stuff in the water for you.

I was big on the BUT and MAY. There are a lot of variability in tap water, and so a lot of variablility in the quality you get from your tap water. Some places get occaisional boil water advisories, some even have it all the time. In the western world we have more good quality drinking water than ever before in history. More people too.

Well or spring water used to be the surest way to get safe water, because the ground had performed a great deal of filtering of the water.

So cold tap water is quite fine.

Spring water is fine. Spring water from your area would probably be best because it would have qi that is in harmony with your environment.

Bottle water is often from a tap. Depending on were you live and the bottled water, you tap water may be better for you.

The water in my town is just fine. Some springs there is a little bit of a chlorine taste, but if you leave water in an open container overnight the chlorine will out-gas (meaning leave the water as a gas; hence leaving the water uncovered).

Good: Cold tap water. Boil half, then mix.

Better: Good spring water from your area. Boil half, then mix.

Best: Get Master Lin to make if for you and charge it with qi just for you.

You should drink yin-yang water while it is still warm. Unlike the black sesame tea which you can make in quantity and keep refrigerated (I assume you reheat it).

You are perfection.
