The description for SFQ level 2 says that the course includes exercises to help one sit in the lotus position. Has anyone tried this? Do the exercises, or just sitting in lotus position, help keep the spine straight during meditation?

I have but have not had the discipline to do it every night. I find that my joints are a little stiff even at my age (22 lol). I had to work up to it from half lotus then kept full lotus for five, ten, fifteen and now twenty minutes before changing legs so they both stretch. One thing I'm unsure about it how far you have to put your feet on you thigh. Do you put your heel into your hip or just rest it on your thigh?
I also do while using holosync- something which is in debate in SF Qigong but Master Lin says 'not to use techniques with other energy practices' which I take to be Magic, psychic influence and the such (which I don't mix). Since Holosync is a meditation I saw no problem with it and found myself connecting with the energy in an amazing way.
Anyway, I think I've blathered on enough
