Master Lin mentions walking & practicing SFQ in Level 1. Can ANYONE expand on this as I have a family member that walks daily... Thought I could introduce her to SFQ. She currently has lupus & I thought SFQ added to her walking might help.

Thanks in Advance,

There are various ways to bring qigong into your walk.

The ones I would consider simplest would be to put a smile on your face and walk with a straight spine. You can add the relaxed and open (straight finger) hand posture to recieve energy.

Next easiest would be to stay in the present moment. Don't think about things that have happened, or will happen or might happen. Open your channels mentally and join with the universe at this time, as your take the walk.

Getting a little harder, you could to Breathing of the Universal Eergy without the side-ways arm movement. Just doing the reverse breathing and the visualization of this exercise.

I've also tried to do small universe, but I find my breathing too fast while walking to really enjoy this meditation.

These are all things I've done as well as few others, and they've all made my walks more enjoyable and refreshing.

You are perfection.

Oooooo... I like the qigong while walking technique. It is in the manual as referred to above. It's sort of like a 'big' version of joining of yin and yang.

Also, keeping the tounge against the roof of the mouth during any kind of exercise provides more energy during the workout, so you don't tire as quickly.

Thanks to everyone for the replys. I was aware of the instruction in the level 1 manual, but was looking for any additional input anyone may have to share.

I have practiced while walking as instructed in the manual but I did not get the same feeling as the active exercises... Should I have expect similar feelings?

I do notice a difference in the feeling of Qi between L1 & L2????

Thanks for ANY comment/Suggestions.
