
Thanks for the update. I read about it some months ago. They were not expecting to progress to human test for 10 years at that time. It's will be great when they do start. I'll also wait until they know for certain they can do it since I do okay with hearing aids. If it works I'm all for it.
I must admit having my own remote for volume control does have it's advantages. While shopping I can placidly ignore the tanrums that some kids throw when they are told no. And I can sleep through the worse storms. It's an interesting twist to wake up in the morning and have people still edgey from a storm telling me how bad it was and I slept right through it. I usually just look out at my lawn and go "hummm, must have been windy last night; lawn collected some rubbish. Ah well looks like I got a job to do today that wasn't on the list." I figure my bed didn't get wet so the roof stayed on so nothing to worry about.
