An interesting question! I have only tried this with asthma problems with my children aged 12 and 16 and for that it is difficult to gauge the relative success because it is quite a complex thing to 'make a dent' in. It would be difficult to compare two episodes where I give them healing in person for example. However since I believe that my irritation may get in the way when they become dismissive of my efforts I feel it is better to do it from another room and be in a more resourceful state.

It would be interesting to take something simpler than asthma and try to help out by visualising the healing procedure from another room, in order to 'test' my belief, but I notice that I have a resistance to 'testing things out' in this way because it would seem as if I didn't trust the process. This reminds me of some initial doubts about joining in with the group healing organised on this forum. 12 noon Central time is 6 in the evening here in the UK and I often used to fall asleep if I joined in at that time. For a long time, I didn't trust the notion that I could have an intention to have my energy arrive in the right time and place if I did it at a different time from the specified one, but 2 weeks ago I decided that if I didn't contribute because of this concern I was missing a valuable opportunity, so now I do the meditation 6 hours before the time given, when I'm much fresher and trust the energy to go to the right place.

I don't understand how these things work but I do feel that Chunyi Lin is a remarkable man (who could believe that it's possible to forecast the next 7 days weather as he did during his 'test' to become a Master for example) and that it's worth trying these things out.

Love
