Has anybody else noticed that an intensive session of SFQ can give rise to unpleasant emotions? Iam2 hinted at this a long time ago in one posting but I don't recall anything else.

Specifically I can suffer from quite intense feelings of anger, hatred etc which don't feel quite real but they do feel like something 'coming to the surface'.

I was stunned the other day to realise that I had been quite 'held' by negative angry feelings against individuals that I am quite ashamed of, to tell the truth and yet they were there seemingly out of my 'control' and seemed to hold me back from moving on in terms of my general energy. On this forum we do sometimes speak of physical pains etc arising from SFQ practice but not of emotional or even spiritual 'pains'. (I'm allowed not to talk about them because I'm British but...)

I'm partly writing this because having had some SFQ healing last week I noticed that a long held disregard for some individuals had been replaced by something quite different - a tolerance and much more kindly or compassionate view of their actions which I found altogether more pleasant and 'worthy' of the 'me' I hoped I was. What I found extraordinary is how different this experience was from consciously deciding that I could work with these negative feelings and discovering that it was very difficult. It was as if the healing released those negative feelings in some magical way that left me much freer but also that until the negative feelings had been replaced by much more of the love, kindness and forgiveness that Chunyi talks about that I wasn't even able to notice properly how lacking in those qualities I had been with regard to certain people in my life.

I suppose partly I'm sharing the mystery of this as well as the pleasure and wondering if others have experiences to report within this important area.

Hi Kev;

Your questions reminded me of an experience I had of a spiritual nature, since you wanted to go into this area.

I was doing meditation many years ago and my life was going through a rough time emotionally and financially. I had never asked for anything in meditation except to just go into the emptiness. At this point though I had to do something and I put it out there "what could I do to turn my life around and really experience all the dreams I wanted to fulfill" or something like that.

I had a visit by someone who seemed to take me by the hand and show me "The golden path".
It was something way beyond my earthly dreams.

This being made such an impression on me that I had to know more about him. So I looked for references and found them. To follow his teachings it was said he would grant your every wish and destroy all your enemies.

This destroy your enemies part wasn't to my liking. But all is not as it seems. To put it in a nut shell. Your enemies were destroyed and transformed into your friends.

Yeah, OK I see how this works. It was a very big spiritual shift for me. I have no enemies.

I think as you begin to practice SFQ and open up energy channels and fill them with good healthy energy you are going to experience many changes, some emotional, some physical and some spiritual. You get to experience somethings and they seem new and interesting but after awhile you realize they are only distractions to your practice.

Even being British, at some point you won't have that reservation you believe others think about you. If you feel some way about something you'll voice your feelings and never think anything of it and everyone will just accept it.

I would just say, keep going with your SFQ practice and for now, don't look back.

Thanks for your response. I found your report of the meditation experience amazing and your other comments really helpful. I do feel that I will make SFQ a permanent part of my life but it is useful to have forum like this to share the odd things that happen to energies in different dimensions and your advice to just notice these things and move on is good. I am familiar with the notion of having apparently 'negative' reactions to healing such as acupuncture before there is an subsequent improvement and I don't know why I find it more difficult to accept this about SFQ. Possibly it's because I do it daily and it feels like it should stop being like this!

The bit about being British was somewhat tongue in cheek as you will ahve realised. The half of me that is Irish keeps the reserve well in check.

Thanks again for your response.

You don't sound like you need my two cents. You've had your experience and seen the good that came from it.

My one comment was going to be about you're judging the feelings as bad. Energy is just energy. Maybe it is in the wrong place, maybe it flow is along the wrong path, but it is just energy.

So-called negative feelings, emotional or physical, are gifts. They provide guidance; either as help in choosing a path or as sign-post showing your progression. They are energy that should be flowing, do not hold on to them. Be thankful for all of the energy and confident you are traveling along the right path for you.

You are perfection.

Aloha Kev;

Probably the most difficult part is focusing on just doing the meditation part of SFQ, whether it is the visualization part of the active exercises or moving the energy through the small universe it all has it's challenges. (doesn't matter if you're British or not .

If you are getting a bunch of negative emotions when practicing maybe you could try asking them what they are trying to tell you.

Sometimes the answer is not instantaneous but it works it's way though eventually.

I do know that it is best to focus on what you want in life or the answers you seek to questions. When you have mental distractions come up you just acknowledge them and go back to focusing on what you want. Don't get pulled off of what you really want in life.

If you don't know what you want take the time out to get focused on what you want in you life.

Thank you both for your thoughtful replies, Iam2 and Jeff. My expereince is seeming significant in different ways than I had originally thought and you have given me some interesting possibilities to explore. Excuse my late reply to your comments - lots of things are requiring my attention here at the moment and leaving me little time to check the forum!

Hi Kev,
Did you check the previous posting 'Thankyou'
from Unis? I posted my reply on that topic as I too had a similar experience mainly on the issue of forgiveness during the telehealing.
Master Lin does say that SFQ does help solve your problems both physical and spiritual and I think that the issues you raise could fall under spiritual.
I have been pracising SFQ for over a year now and find that I have changed. I am much more tolerant and my physical health has improved beyond belief.
Do start SFQ, without a doubt this is the most effective programme I have ever tried
and I have tried a few.
------- and I'm British too!!!

Hi Faune

I looked at the other posting as you suggested. Very interesting - it turns out that people do post about these things and I just don't notice!

It didn't come acrosss very clearly in my post but I have been doing SFQ for a while myself and I credit it with really helping me to recover from a major operation. it's by far the most effective thing I've encountered and centred round such a lovely man. I seem to need a little extra help at the moment, hence the tele-healing.

I've noticed your name on a number of postings and Faune immediately had an image of a Southerm Belle - I suppose it's the Frenchness of the name. And now I discover you're British. So that'll teach me to make assumptions!

Love

Kev
