I have been doing the active exercise daily for two months and I notice that my hands become cold. Normally, my hands feel warm. Is this something to be concerned about? Is there something I can do to increase the warmth in my hands? From my experience, master practioners of Qigong have tremendous amounts of heat being generating from their hands. Why would I be experiencing the opposite condition? Thanks

Aloha rgolden,

I hear the heat piece a lot from practitioners of other (especially hands-on) modalities.

The amount of heat generated from one's hands is not indicative of the level one is at, nor is always it appropriate, or needed for healing to happen.

As Master Lin mentions in the level I home study course, you may experience various sensations as your channels begin to open, especially now that you're just starting.

You'd check anything out with your doctor that you may be concerned with. Sensations will come and go. The coldness in your hands may work through today and a different variation may show up a year from now.

Just different channels opening on different layers.

Good job on your 2 months!

Much Love, Shawn

A lot of people these days seem to think that the hands must go very hot for healing--but many years ago, I visited an excellent, very powerful healer whose hands were icy cold when she worked. Different sensations don't necessarily mean good or bad--just that they're different.
