Greetings!

I have a hard time fitting the 11:00 - 1:00 am/pm timeframe into my meditations, but the 5:00 - 7:00 am/pm is perfect for me.

My question is, does anyone know if the 5-7 is as good, in terms of the magnetic pull of the earth and ease accessing universal energy? Master Lin mentions only the 11-1 timeframe in his books and pamphlets. I haven't seen the 5-7 one written anywhere.

However, at the Level 1/2 class I took, Master Vance (who taught most of it) mentioned 5-7 as being good too.

I just wondered if anyone knew the history of that, ie if Master Lin added that second timeslot more recently. I've read on this forum that his SFQG teachings are a process that sometimes changes. Did Master Lin realize that the 5-7 works as well only recently? Do people on this forum notice a big difference in their mediations when they meditate at noon? Is noon the "best" time of the good/better/best, with 6am/pm being "better" and all other times being "good"?

Thanks for any assistance on this!!

Here's to good health to all!!

Hi Carebear
11-1am and pm are the best times because our front and back energy channels connect automatically which makes our practice easier.

While those times are the best for me, I also practice between 5 - 7am and pm because I find them to be really good as well.

For me 11-1am and pm is best, 5-7am and pm better, and any other time good.

I don't know wbout the magnetic pull of the earth at those times but I do know that the 24 hours of a day are connected 2 hourly, with each of the twelve major meridians.

11am-1pm - heart (baby yin time)
11pm-1am - gallbladder (baby yang time)
5am-7am - large intestine
5pm-7pm - kidney

Hope this helps
with love

In the course material Master Lin identifies the 5-7 time periods (am and pm) as optimum for doing the active exercises. He identifies the 11-1 time periods as optimum for doing siting meditations (for the reasons Jetay has offered).

One time period is best for clearing blockages (5-7) and the other is best for building your capacity for qi to flow (11-1).

You are perfection.

Those are extremely helpful answers! Thank you so much Jatay and Iam. I will have to practice during the different parts of the day to see about strengthening those relevant areas.
