Aloha Cassie,

My apologies for having to get back to your question and if this response doesn’t seem to give you the specific steps you’re expecting.

quote:
I believe that Qigong approaches the body holistically, i.e., the body's energy channels are inter-connected & dependent on each other. Given this, is there a concept, similar to my analogy, of developing an "action plan" for treating a problem? If so, how do you chose the right path, since this seems to be done mostly by individual choice?

- Active exercises
- meditation
- group healing forum
- sword fingers
- yin/yan water
- in-person consultations with Chunyi Lin
- remote group healing sessions
- etc (I'm sure I've missed some)

So my question is, given the above are the techniques I can chose from, how would I put together a action plan to address a serious problem such as a tumor?

When putting together an action plan, I'd take time out to call upon my master's energy and put out my question to the universe during my meditation. Then I'd start doing those things I already know, that can heal me heal. Next I’d research all the options out there from simple breathing exercises to chemotherapy/radiation. There is a lot out there. Then I'd check in again within my mediation, heart, practical mind, and choose the next step.

Your question looks like it's asking if I'd do an SFQ-specific focused action plan, so…

I'd do the same thing.

1. Put out what I desire/am looking for at the beginning of my mediation.

2. I’d do what I know can start making a difference in my health right now.

So I'd gather my notes and revisiting the Born A Healer book, Level I, II, III, and IV class materials on the subject.

Your "for instance" example of a tumor is addressed in the Level III class. He goes into what cancer likes/doesn't like from an emotional, mental, and food perspective, as well as some specific techniques he's found that assist one in healing this blockage.

Hello Shawn - I've only taken up to Level II!
Okay, so from the Level I & II materials, what could I start working with right now?

Level I
Well, I know that the Self Concentration Exercise mentions tumors in the body, and that the active exercise in that Level are all set up for personal healing. Chunyi mentions time and again that the Small Universe Meditation is very powerful for healing -great! I also know that the Ying-Yang water help balance the system, so I can give my day a good start with it.

Level II
Work on myself in the mirror in the morning and evening after brushing/flossing my teeth. While I’m at it, I can give my kidneys support with the Black Sesame Seed Drink.

I can sign myself up on this Forum's weekly healing post

I can do a little searching on this Forum to see if the topic has come up before, and if not, post my questions. This will not be Chunyi answering, but I can get some good leads and perhaps personal experiences from other members which I will take them all with a grain of salt (including this post), and appreciation for their willingness to contribute to me.

I can eat well and live from Love, kindness, and forgiveness.

I can do good things for others.

Wow, that's a lot I can start doing right away to promote my healing.

3. I’d Research other options from SFQ's perspective.

What is my best resource for SFQ healing? Master Lin.

Next I’d look at what is covered in the SFQ classes through Nomandale College and consider taking a class. They are set up in a variety of formats so those from a distance can fly in and take an intensive course for the weekend and fly home. There are opportunities for questions and he's sending energy to you the whole time.

There is also the October 6-day Spring Forest Healing Retreat that Learning Strategies puts on with Master Lin. It gives you the most time immersed in his and the group's healing energy, along with opportunities to ask questions, develop your detecting and healing, and time in mediation. There are "Guest Assistants" (advanced students selected by Chunyi) there to also answer questions and provide support. Your being worked on throughout the event by Master Lin, the Guest Assistants, and fellow participants.

Personal Healing Sessions
Coming to the Healing Center for an in-person healing session is very effective. Chunyi and his assistants may or may not give me something specific to do on my own. Some people fly in and spend one or two weeks in Minneapolis, seeing him twice a day. Others come in one time, monthly, or weekly. I can ask Chunyi what he suggests for the frequency of visits when he reads my energy.

Phone Healing Session with Master Lin or Master Nance are very effective as well. I’m basically on the phone for about 5 minutes and then relaxing or mediating for the next 20-30 minutes as he continues to work on me. Generally the Healing Center recommends I set up 3-4 consecutive sessions.

I can also set up a phone healing with Darcie Gustine, an advanced student of Chunyi's who works on clients with him daily at the healing center. (She's also my wife, so I have the privilege of having her insight and skills on hand.) The reason I mention her is that she tends to take time during the phone healing to speak with the clients and give some specific tools they can do on their own to facilitate their healing. Some just want to be worked on, that's great, but for those willing to do the work, she will give them specific exercises or mediations that may or may not have been taught in his normal classes for that situation.

4. So with all those options, I’d check in again with the universe during my mediation to see what would most benefit my healing.

I didn’t lay out a specific plan just for tumors, since the root of the blockage has specificities to the individual person.

So how simple, elaborate, or what sequence should I best follow for my healing is just that, individual. That’s why I kept mentioning to put it out there to the universe within meditation. Am I getting that I need a little more assistance in my healing and are being directed towards a healing session? Okay. Am I getting back that I need just do what I already know, or to step it up? Okay.

We all have options and some powerful healing tools at our disposal – whether that’s Level I, II, etc. The biggest thing is to get started and just do it. Most of the time we know at some level what we could be doing, eating, and treating ourselves and others to make an immediate impact in our health and lives. The tough part is shifting and doing them.

The Level III class is wonderful, but would it best for me to take a class or get some personal assistance in my situation? Put it out there in your meditation. The Universe may direct you to a chiropractor, book, class, or something you may not have ever considered for your healing. Listen, be discerning, and choose.

“Learn to trust in the universe more and more,” is something you’ll hear from Master Lin a lot.

Much Love, Shawn
