Glenn, your languaging scares me.
I don't have your neuro-associations, but "run at a new relationship" conjures up very weird images. The speed metaphor of "run" and "rushing into things" jumps to mind, plus "run" and "ruin" are just a letter appart.
I hope it's just my reaction to something innocuous.
