Hi,

My PR journey continues. I've been having a look at reading PDF documents using Adobe PDF reader. By using it in maximised mode, you can get a full screens worth of information in front of you including 2 pages side by side.

Maximised mode = F8 and F9 which remove the various menu bars. I then click on the document and use my wheel mouse to click down which turns a page to the chant.

Does anyone else use this method ?

No I don't. I use single page and advance using the space bar or page down key. That's faster than the auto advance.

I don't like the two page mode because Adobe advances only one page not both pages.

I do recommend as a beginner you work first with printed books the PDFs have a disadvantage of keeping you in the front to back approach to reading. Jumping to the right page with the answer is not as much fun as with a book

Well I dont know what version of Adobe Reader you're using but version 7 advances 2 pages at a time without any problems for me,

(View > Page Layout > Facing)

Just checked and you're right and you know it's too slow? It stopped showing the pages after about the 6 page down tap and and them skipped all the pages. For PhotoReading it won't work as well as the single page.

The single page can be turned automatically at one second per page. Which is easier and faster than getting thrown because it isn't able to draw both pages fast enough.

Hmm seems to work just fine for me but as I've seen mentioned many times, it;s what works best for the individual.
