HF,
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that I disdain science or those who add to our knowledge. After all, without science we wouldn't be posting messages in this forum from our computers.
..and I make my living through science. I spend my days as an Electrical Engineer making complicated manufacturing machinery run better and faster.
But also one needs to remember the short-commings of any belief system. With the internet and a little research, it is possible to find many possible problems with much of the science we are currently practicing. But when I have discussions with other engineers and physists, they regard the current state of knowledge with a kind of worship. They defend those theories in the same way a religious fundamentalist defends their beliefs. And they will try and convert the "scientific heretic" to their own ideas (or science's own ideas).
