I read the article by Mr. Harris last week and I have been thinking about it every since. The thing that I continue to mull over is his statement that moderates legitimize a religion, there-by (quietly) condoning action by extremists. This is of course, me paraphrasing. I think the argument might go, if there were no moderates in a particular religion, it would not exist and the extremists would then just be criminals. And then (hopefully) the criminal justice system would handle the problem.
