I had some very strange dreams recently involving the Matrix. I purchased a floor-length trechcoat yesterday, and a new tie while I was at it. Today, I finished it up with new gloves and a scarf, plus completing my finger-armour set. All-in-all, it cost me about $250. But, I feel wonderful about myself and the way I look. I realized that many of my recent problems were the result of a cognative dissonance between the person I want to be and the person I thought I wanted to be. I kept using Dr. Lecter as my model for anything involving modeling. I was running into serious roadblocks because I have come to define psychopathology as a highly negative trait. Morpheus (fictional) and Lawrence Fishbourne (real) are both wonderful models. The coat is an anchor for the person I have decided to be.

The thing is not to spend too much time doing intellectual violence to your dreams. Rather, let your dreams produce action, and see where the action takes you. Trust your intuition. Dreams are vague, symbolic, and important. Don't assume you know what your dreaming mind is trying to tell you unless you've already worked out lots of signals through trial and feedback.
