The small universe is an excellent daily meditation and you might try to support yourself by doing a little more active meditation (exercises) every day along with your sitting meditation.

The active exercises strengthen the lower and middles dan tiens, providing great energy, and healing the physical and emotional disorders in our body.

I have read that it's possible that people who do a lot of sitting meditation without doing enough active exercise can lose energy or get ill because their lower (jing) dan tien (physical/body) and middle (qi) (heart/emotions/soul) dan tien aren't strong enough for all the work that they are doing in the upper (shen) (third eye/mind/spirit) dan tiens.

Balance is the key in all of this wondrous practice that Master Lin has shared with us.

I like Jetay's comment on balance. I see the active are a more yang practice, while the sitting are more yin. That said, they are not yin or yang exclusively.

Just like level one is more focused on helping yourself, and level II more on helping others. They are not exclusively those.

Spirit7, you don't sound like you are doing anything wrong. My only remaining concern is that you may be holding a belief that sets you up so that healing is taxing to you. Many people consciously and more unconsciously hold fears of success. They create their own barriers. If Master Lin is correct and energy follows where the mind leads. Then limiting beliefs will set stumbling blocks for us.

Master Lin also says that qigong healing, and energy healing, and prayer are all the same. They are message healing, they are energy healing. (okay, I may not have the quote quite correct)

My best advice is to ask for support and guidance from the universe and trust that your experiences are for your best. Believe that you have to experience this to be prepared for something in the future.

Okay, I'll also suggest listening to the six keys of success again. I always find something useful in them.

You are perfection.

A question I'd put out to you is "How much 'work' are you doing?" The process is a gentle and simple one. One could spend 2 minutes or thirty and get the same results depending on their focus and confidence.

I smile as Zaiah, my 2.5 year old works on his mom for three seconds and says "I'm done."

Chunyi gives examples of how taking more time, is just taking more time, when with more trust and focus, your consciousness can clear it immediately.

Hi Shawn,

I do come from the old train of thought, "The harder you work the better results." I know I just want the best for every being I come in contact with and maybe I am working too hard.

The time I spend on humans ranges from 10 to 30 minutes, with animals it is 5 to 15 minutes. My focus is very intense and my confidence is gaining the more positive results I see. When I feel a blockage breakup, which is cool air blowing on my hand, I sometimes give a little extra energy at that time. Or if I scan after the healing and still feel the blockages, which is intense heat on my hand, I will work on the "spot" again.

Does it sound like I am working too much?

After the healing session is complete, trust what you have done and leave the rest to you Master and the universe to work on. A person's consciousness can recreate them as quick as you can take them away.

Another thing to consider is your own personal needs. When doing healing for others, we are healed/healing. You may be getting a clearer message from your system at that time, letting you know that "Hey, the Kidneys are a little low!" or "You know, we still haven't rejuvenated those adrenal glands from the last go-go-go or stressful situation -lets do some natural meditation and rest please."

Just some thoughts to try on.

Much Love, Shawn
