Ok so I have a minor problem to tackle.
I have limited funds and a few things on my plate and im currently deciding whether or not to get the Spring Forest Qigong course.
I have read it through and it sounds like something I would definatly like to invest in at some point in my life however as I am currently a student (im 19) with alot on my plate and not a tremendous amount of money I only want it now if I know it will have alot of benefits for me.

Im a healthy individual, I do alot of sports etc
However I have a few things I want to fix, my eyesight for one, I spend quite some time on the computer and although I dont wear glasses I can tell my eyesight is fading, nothing terrible, but I struggle to focus on things sometimes and im guessing its just to do with my eyes being strained too much, can Qigong help relax / improve my eyesight?

Also as I said I do a few sports, up till recently all I really did was climbing however I have taken up gymnastics, parkour and running and as its a alot more intense than what im used to im constantly get injuries, nothing major, right now I have a shin splint, ive had a few pulled musles (now I warm up haha) and hurt my ankle a few times.
Can Qigong help to prevent these injuries and / or speed up their recovery?
This shin splint is terrible, there is nothing I can do but wait and rest, I can train my upper body but not being able to get out there and run / jump alot is very frustrating.
Also would it help speed recovery from training? ie muscle recovery / growth?

Also ive been feeling very tired lately, it could be a few things, but will Qigong give me more energy?

The only other thing which is troubling me is my focus, I have the photoreading course and have done for sometime, aswell as the languages, but I find that days pass and I havent touched it, I seem to do it every now and then but thats not going to be as good as doing it everyday.
Alot of the time I think I put it off because I feel tired or get distracted by the internet or something equally pointless.
I have a few paraliminals aswell which I really should listen too more.

Any answers would be appreciated thanks
(also just popped into my head, does SFQ increase flexibility like yoga or anything like that? Im tempted to take up yoga because ive heard it gives you one incredible workout and insane flexibility)

Aloha Adwo,

That's a spattering of questions. Here's a quick once over (pardon me for it's brevity this morning)

Funds
This is the one course we publish that Paul Scheele and Pete Bissonette constantly say is the one to have availably in you life, if you're considering purchasing any of our programs. It has made that big a difference in their lives.

Eyes
Yes Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ) can help relax and support them. Consider converting half /of your internet time into searching for some simple things that can help you like Palming and a few other Bates method eye exercises. Spend the other half doing them.

Sports
(Okay, I just had to take a minute to look up "parkour" - I think my two-year-old Zaiah will love it after while!).

The exercises in Level I can help keep your channels open and your energy centers full. The sword fingers exercises in that level can be used for healing those issues you've mentioned, and in Level II you can learn detecting and healing that you'll find yourself using regularly on your self and others once you get into it.

SFQ can assist in develop your focus. You still have to integrate it in into your life. Chunyi introduces walking and sleeping qigong in Level I, that you can adapt to all sorts of daily situation. The more you do, the bigger benefits for you - yet you can do a little here and a little there during the day and get benefit.

Flexibility opens up as your channels open and blockages are removed. If you want to specifically work on your flexibility, there are some good yoga and general stretching systems out there to implement into your pre-
parkour warm-ups.

Much Love, Shawn

Adwo,

In the Level One course the active exercises can be done in 35 minutes and the sitting meditation is 30 minutes. If I find my self running short of time I will do the sitting meditation as I drift off to sleep (lying down) and do the ending when I wake up in the morning.

The benefits I have received have been immense. As an older than 19 athlete, SFQ has helped me finally get over a reoccurring back injury and helps with all the little injuries that still occur.
