Ok... having photoread a book everyday, I think I'm beginning to see what I'm doing right (and wrong).

The other day, I just photoread a book and activated one particular chapter. As I went through it, I pulled out all the key points but felt like I wasn't seeing how they all fit together. I activated 3 times (each of them were 10-15 minute passes). And then I just decided to rapid read. The moment I did, everything I had mindmapped began to come together! I think it's because I passed through the text so many times, that by the time I began rapid reading, I'd recognized so much of the material and nearly everything was beginning to make sense.

However, there was a page or two which I intentionally avoided, and I still don't understand (nor do I want to understand because it's mindboggling).

But I think the training wheels are starting to come off

Can anyone comment on whether I'm doing this right or not?

You're on the tight track. When you feel you're not getting it check in with your purpose... what you want to know and why. Then look at your mind probing questions... would they logically lead you in the direction of your purpose.

With rapid reading consider the 80/20 rule... you might just needed to have allowed another period of incubation before diving into rapid reading.
