Marie evaluates the month and year stars together when she develops those cures so I’m sure it is not “nourishing” the conflict star.
As for the aquarium being a cure for the disaster star, I don’t know where that comes from. In your chart the center disaster star is cured by moving metal. Can you put it in the NW or SE where you need moving water?
