Hey

I`ve just received it, but I`m unsure where it`s meant we`re to put our tongue? Is it in front of the teeth, just behind, or a bit longer in - in the throat/mouth ?

And the "hhhmmm hhhmmm" voice, when was that to be used again?

When is it appropriate to get Level 2? Is there a 3 too?

If properly used everyday, 45 min, when do we start to see the energyfield and colors?

Thanks for any answers

Hi John,

Place your tongue on the roof of the mouth as if you're making the "L" sound.

If you listen to Master Lin's sitting meditation called Small Universe, you don't have to make the sound cuz he does it for you. I find listening to it laying down or sitting in full lotus with a cd headset is especially effective, cuz the sound goes deep into the body.

You can move to level 2 whenever you feel you are ready. I attended a Level 1/2 workshop with Master Lin and Vance, so the info was combined. I tend to stick with level 1 stuff in my daily meditations. The choice is up to you.

I have been meditating at least an hour a day for 8 months and I have not seen any colors or energy field. Everyone moves at his/her own pace. I do sometimes smell the lotus flower, which is amazing! And I feel lots of tingly sensations all over my body, but most especially in my hands, feet, and lips. My eyes flutter and sometimes white light comes in.

After a few months of practicing I learned to let go of expectations that I'll get into the emptiness. I have no idea if I've ever gotten there. I'm still unclear if it's a "you'll know it when it happens" or if it's more vague and subtle. I am completely unclear what the emptiness is and if I will know when I am there. I guess everyone is different on this, maybe depending on how sensitive you are to energy.

I do know that it's helped in many parts of my life, especially my sleep. It used to take me hours to fall asleep, and now I am asleep within minutes of trying. I find I feel less stressed in my life, which is nice, cuz I have a chronic illness that is extremely painful and emotionally difficult. So SFQG has offered a lot.

Hope this helps!
Hugs,
Cawwie

Thanks Cawwie,

Aloha JohnA,

One starts focusing on the upper dantian (or third eye) in Level III. That's generally where one will start developing those senses. In Chunyi's classes Level I build the lower dantian energy, Level II the middle, and III & IV, the upper. A solid structure needs good support. The same goes energetically.

You can start the healing work of Level II on others right away as you're doing the Level I exercises for your own healing and developement. Chunyi recomends working into the Level II active exercises after you've made a shift physically from doing the Level I exercises.

I'm not sure about what your refering to with the "HHHHmmmmmm." Perhaps Cawwie has addressed it.

Much Love, Shawn

Just to add my penny's worth to the good advice above. For tongue contact: I close my mouth and swallow. I find my tongue then makes contact along the entire roof of my mouth, and there is no effort to maintain it. It just automatically stays there.

Adding to the development idea. Master Lin describes the energy development like a pyramid. The lower dantien (level I work) is the base, the middle dantien (level II) work is the middle, and the upper dantien (level III and IV) are the upper. In my level III training he commented that he has seen several people who focus on the upper dantien, who obtained results but their foundation wasn't present to support them, and they loose the benefits and must start over. He has given us the best of his advice for healing qigong development, in the SFQ system. I think about variations, even sometimes try some variations within his guidance, but I find that his advice is continually good.

We all want to see qi, but we experience what is presently appropriate for us. The universe is good to us that way.

You are perfection,
Iam2
