I was going over some threads at this site and came accross your questions to me about L/S Machines and why I have such a bias for one of them.
To keep it as brief as possible I chose Comptronics because they're actively involved in research at the local University-Hospital here to advance their L/S machines (I've read a lot of it too). You'll also find that none of their machines come with red LEDs. Red is a well known stimulating color to Neurotech practioners, so why would you use this color get into a relaxed state, unless you really didn't know what you were doing or even SELL red LED goggles to customers? The first goggles I bought were red (sheeesh!), and found later that this guy was making really poor copies of Comptronic machines. It's been established through research that getting into a relaxed state through L/S machines requires a pretty specific set of principles. Comptronics set those guidlines, many others don't follow them or simply copy them from Comptronics. As far as features go the coolest one is the Tape-Talk on XL models. I really like this because I can create specific L/S programs on my PC for paraliminals then intergrate it all into one tape using a cheap mixer. I'm working on doing it all on CD, but cassette tapes cheap and very flexible.
