I am working with both Peak Performance and New Behavior Generator to improve my putting. My goal is to keep my eyes on the target line ahead of the ball before the stroke. Just before the stroke my eyes focus on the ball. Then keeping my eyes on the ball at impact and a few seconds after-- results in seeing a dark circle on the green. The "after image" of the ball left on the green is the result of keeping my eyes and head still while putting.
I am having success with making putts when I keep my focus. I am however, having some difficulty keeping my peripheral vision from picking up little things around the ball. Today I missed a putt because I saw a butterfly with my peripheral vision even though I tried keeping my eyes on the ball.
Does anyone have ideas about how to improve my focus because I don't seem to see the after image every time.
