Has anyone had, or heard of, having OBEs after practicing spring forest qi gong?

Hi Spiral. I'll try my best to share a little info with you.
I have been into haveing O. B. E for some years now.
I have trained myself to have them. They can be
realley neat. They also can be very spiritual.
Sometimes while doing the self concentration
meditation I find myself soaring over mountains
and rivers. It is so easy to go O.B.E. when you get
to the place where you forget about your physical
body. They say when we dream we are actually
O.B.E. but we are not in control of it. Control is one of
the hardest parts to O.B.E. My advice is if you can
have them go for it. I hope I have been a little bit of
help.

Love and Peace.

HI Spiral,
Anytime you engage in a practice that is personally transformative and self healing, experiences such as OBE's are certainly possible.
They are 'not' the goal. What to do if you have an OBE? Just go back to your practice. " Ground yourself in your practice." In general , be a neutral observer.
If some type of energy shows up repeatedly, you can certainly communicate, and ask a question about why it is showing up, or whatever...otherwise, just observe, stay neutral, ground in your practice, utilize your focus..
My response is not meant to counter Gabby's help. It sounds very enjoyable , and I am not an expert, by any means on OBE! I have had some, but they are memories of experience now, more than something that specifically came forward with my practice.
I do know that, that type of experience can come from a transformative practice, and returning to the practice promotes a continued unfolding or growth in the right direction.
Reflection is possible way to follow up. Take the experience into 'a' followup meditation to reflect on it. Then move on.
I have had experiences, that then became part of my prayers, giving me a picture, to put with the words. I consider them as gifts of experience and affirmations. All experiences have seemed like something I have, then continue on . Sometimes layers to move through, sometimes, as I say, a specific gift or giving of energy, or teaching experience.

Hi Gallen. Just wanted to say that I agree with
yuor post to Spiral. I just want to add a bit more.
After reading over my post, maybe I could have
worded it a little differently. I was not suggesting
trying to combine the two. I dont know if that
would be even possiblle.
When i first got into sfq a few years ago I would
fall asleep during my meditations. Then i would go
o.b.e. Once i learned to stay awake it never
happened again. To some, this may happen so easy.
I just meant not to be afraid of it, it can happen so naturaly.

Take care
Gabby

Hey there spiral,

I have somewhat experience with 'Lucid Dreaming, but I've tried to learn to have an OBE. I've had no results in the first week of testing this out. I look over all the tips people give on how they get themselves to have an OBE, but none have been useful for me. Do you yourself have any suggestions, or anyone else responding to spiral's post? If so, I'd greatly appreciate If you could help me out.

Hi SkyEatsAirplane

There are different ways people use to OBE.
For me it is mostly affirmations while I'm
going to sleep. I have gone OBE other ways
but this is the easiest for me. I have to say
that OBEs were very enlightening for me.

I have mentioned on an earlier post about a
great book you can get that will tell you
everything you are looking for.
It is called Adventures Beyond The Body
by William Buhlman. It is a very interesting
book.

I hope I was of a little help to you.If you have any
questions feel free to ask.
Happy OBEs Gabby
